Social Anxiety Group
TIRED OF MISSING OUT?
Do you experience any of the following symptoms during social interactions?
Rapid Heart Rate Sweating Trembling Nausea Feelings of Detachment
Lightheaded Blushing Dizziness Headaches Shortness of Breath Loss of Self-Control
If so, you may be experiencing social anxiety. Many people struggle with social isolation and difficulty forming relationships due to a fear of being negatively judged by others. Often times people with social anxiety may choose to stay home in social isolation than go out to eat, go on vacation, or leaving the house out of fear of being negatively judged by others. When these individuals do leave the house, they are often filled with worry and may experience the symptoms listed above thus hindering their daily life.
Utah Valley Psychology is excited to announce a new group aimed to help those that struggle with social anxiety at any degree. Hosted by Pat McGuinness, CMHC, this group is designed to help those with a fear of being negatively judged by others. Social anxiety can affect your ability to perform at work, take care of things at home and get along with others. If you or someone you know struggles with social anxiety, come share your experiences with others who struggle the same way you do, in a safe and supportive atmosphere hosted every Wednesday from 4-5:30PM at our office. Learn skills that will help you manage your anxiety and feel good about yourself so that you don’t miss out on all that life has in store for you.
